KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- The wife of the prime minister, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor has praised Malaysians for their concern over the well-being of security forces members.
She said this was clearly demonstrated during Ramadan and Aidilfitri by individuals, corporate figures, companies and institutions by making donations for gifts to security forces members through Bakti.
The contributions leave an indelible mark on security forces members who have to be on duty and away from their families during Aidilfitri, she said when handing over 15,000 boxes of food to the armed forces at the Defence Ministry here on Friday.
Rosmah, who is also Bakti president, said she was happy that Bakti members of all races packed the food for the soldiers.
She also hoped the wives of security forces members, whose husbands had to be on duty during the festival, would not be disheartened and would take it in their stride. -- BERNAMA
