KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (Bernama) -- The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) has implemented a nursery project at the Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (Puspen) at Kampung Selamat, Penang to train inmates in landscaping and agriculture.

The project developed with the cooperation of Syarikat Uniutama Property Sdn Bhd acted as vocational therapy to the inmates, AADK said a statement Saturday.

Inmates would also be given the opportunity to become suppliers or sub-contractors to the company on completion of treatment.

AADK had also set up Rakan Antidadah (RADA) in an effort to involve the society in tackling drug addiction in the country, particularly among youths.

RADA which was also aimed at reducing crime among addicts had targeted 93,000 youths under the programme by next year. -- BERNAMA
